Configurations and integration access

Telara does not use a separate "request an MCP configuration" workflow. You create configurations yourself from the integrations and tools your organization has made available to you.

How it works

Two different things

Integration access (provisioning)

When your org is in admin-controlled mode, you may need approval before you can use a given integration. That is what Request access on Integrations is for. Those requests show up under My Requests — they are about getting access to a data source, not about asking an admin to build an MCP configuration for you.

Request integration access
MCP configurations (you create them)

A configuration bundles the integrations, filters, and policies you choose for a purpose (for example, a project or team). You pick from integrations you already have access to and publish the configuration from Configurations → New. There is no separate queue where users "request" an MCP configuration to be created by an admin.

Create a configuration

Admins still govern which integrations exist for the tenant and may approve integration access. Building the MCP configuration itself is a self-serve step in the dashboard once those tools are available to you.
