Before you connect

Prerequisites

A Shopify store you administer (custom app development enabled).
Permission to create a custom app and install it on that shop.

Get the credential

Create a custom app
In Shopify Admin, open Settings → Apps and sales channels → Develop apps. Create a custom app for Telara and install it on the shop.

Copy the Admin API token
Reveal the Admin API access token after install. Copy it immediately.

Paste in Telara
Settings → Integrations → Shopify. Enter the shop subdomain (the name before .myshopify.com) and the token. Prefer Connect when your shop can use the hosted button.

Connect in Telara

OAuth 2.0

In Telara, open Settings → Integrations, choose this connector, and click Connect. Telara sends you to the vendor to approve access, then returns you here. You do not create an OAuth app or paste a client secret.

Verify it worked

After you save, Telara runs a read-only check against the account. The integration shows as connected when that check succeeds.

Honesty

Known limitations

Legacy private-app passwords are deprecated. Use a custom app token.
The shop name must match the store that issued the token. A staging shop token will not read production.
