Connect ChatGPT to Telara

ChatGPT will reach Telara through the public connector listing, so employees keep the assistant they already use while questions and approved work remain governed by Telara.

Connect it yourself

Telara is submitted to the OpenAI connector directory for review. When OpenAI approves the listing, employees will select Telara and sign in once with OAuth.

1
Open ChatGPT Connectors and select Telara when its public listing is available.
2
Choose Connect and complete the Telara OAuth authorization page with your work identity.
3
Use Telara in ChatGPT and confirm an authorized Telara audit event.

Rolling it out centrally

OpenAI reviews the public connector once. Customer workspaces can then make the approved listing available without building a tenant-specific app.

1
An eligible ChatGPT workspace enables the approved Telara connector for the intended employees, subject to its own workspace controls.
2
Employees complete their own Telara OAuth consent; their Telara policies remain scoped to their organization and entitlements.

Before you commit to this

Under review is not public availability

OpenAI has received the public connector submission, but it is not yet a live directory listing. Do not replace the review path with a tenant-specific custom connector and call it public.

Confirm it actually worked

The client's “connected” badge reports a successful handshake, not a tool call. Ask ChatGPT something answerable only from your indexed Telara data, then read GET /v1/mcp/audit/log and look for a row with client_type=chatgpt.

An answer with no matching audit row means the assistant replied from its own knowledge and never called Telara — a routing problem in the tool descriptions, not a broken connection. Every transport check will still look green.

Support, privacy, and reviewer testing

The complete OAuth and platform-review guide defines the governed 21-tool contract, the reviewer test flow, and the safe test action for platforms that permit writes.

For setup or reviewer access, contact support@telara.dev. For privacy requests, contact privacy@telara.dev. Telara's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply to every connection.
