Platform Overview

Telara Platform

Three layers that work together to give your AI agents the right data, the right permissions, and the ability to run on autopilot. Use each layer independently or combine them for full automation.

The Stack

Building blocks

Each layer controls a different aspect of your AI agents. Configuration defines what data and tools are available. Permissions & Policies controls what actions agents can take. Automations lets you build workflows that run on their own.

Key relationships
A Configuration works on its own for search-only access(no policies needed)
A Configuration works without Automations(use directly from your IDE)
Permission policies must be attached to a Configuration
Automations require a Configuration to define their capabilities
Every agent needs a Configuration as its foundation

What each layer does

Usage Tiers

Each tier adds a layer

Start with search-only access to your knowledge base. Add permission policies for interactive actions. Add automations for workflows that run on their own.

Tier 1Search & Read

Search your knowledge base from your IDE. No live actions.

Audit Trail

Full visibility

Every action your agents take is logged. View detailed audit trails in the dashboard to see what happened, when it happened, and whether it was approved. Two levels of detail let you zoom in or out as needed.

Automation Activity

Tracks the full workflow: steps completed, approval decisions, duration, and outcome.

Action Log

Tracks individual actions your agents perform. Per-action detail.
