Before you connect

Prerequisites

A Segment workspace on a Team or Business plan. Public API access is not on free workspaces.
Workspace admin who can create a Public API token.

Vendor setup

Get the credential

Open Access Management
In Segment, go to Settings → Workspace settings → Access Management → Tokens (Public API).

Create a token
Click Create Token. Name it for Telara. Grant the permissions this page lists. Copy it once.

Paste in Telara
Settings → Integrations → Segment. Paste the Public API token into the field Telara shows.

In Telara, open Settings → Integrations, choose this connector, and paste the bearer token into the field Telara shows.

Verify it worked

After you save, Telara runs a read-only check against the account. The integration shows as connected when that check succeeds.

Honesty

Known limitations

Write keys and source keys ingest events; they cannot list sources. Telara needs a Public API token.
EU workspaces use a different Public API host if the form asks.
