AI Estate inventory
How Telara builds the inventory of AI clients, agents, MCP configs, and related assets — and what an empty or short list does not mean.
What you are looking at
Reported assets only
AI Estate lists assets that enrolled endpoint collectors and connected discovery sources reported as configured or deployed. An asset appears because a source reported it — not because it called something through Telara.
AI clients, agents, MCP servers and client configurations, capabilities, and credential bindings that a connected source reported.
Devices with no enrolled collector, sources that cannot expose the data, and failed or partial scans that never produced a report.
Coverage
Partial by design
Coverage is incomplete whenever collectors or discovery sources are missing, limited, or failing. Absence from this list is not evidence that an asset does not exist.
Counts of enrolled-versus-expected devices, scan failures, and per-source coverage state may not appear yet. When they are missing, the inventory still shows only assets that were actually reported — it does not invent coverage numbers.
Numbers
Totals are the matching inventory
Unmediated assets, discovered assets, evidence caveats, and reporting sources count every matching asset, not only the rows on the current page. The table still loads in pages; Load more is how you read the list, not how the totals are computed.
Two independent signals
Control vs evidence
Every asset carries two separate badges. They answer different questions and are never collapsed into one status.
Whether anything governs the asset. “Discovered · unmediated” means a configured path with no governing control — a finding worth filtering to.
How good the observation is — current, stale, partial, or from a source that cannot confirm the asset. An unmediated asset with current evidence and one with stale evidence are different facts; both stay visible.
Empty lists
Zero reported ≠ zero exist
“No assets discovered from connected sources” means nothing has been reported yet by an enrolled collector or connected discovery source. Unenrolled devices and sources without discovery support are simply not represented. Connect sources and enroll collectors to grow the inventory.
Findings
Reviewing findings
A finding is a condition worth your attention, deduplicated to one case per condition rather than one row per affected asset — an unmediated tool used across twelve configurations shows up as a single finding covering all twelve, not twelve separate rows to work through one at a time.
Filter to the conditions you care about and work through the open list. Each finding shows how many people, teams, and configurations it covers, so you can judge blast radius before deciding how to respond.
