Before you connect

Prerequisites

A Gainsight CS tenant you can administer.
Admin who can create a Gainsight REST API access key.

Vendor setup

Get the credential

Open REST API
In Gainsight, go to Administration → REST API (or Integrations → Gainsight REST API).

Create an access key
Click Create Access Key. Name it for Telara. Copy the key and the tenant / domain Gainsight shows.

Paste in Telara
Settings → Integrations → Gainsight. Paste the key and any domain or tenant field Telara asks for.

Connect in Telara

OAuth 2.0

Gainsight Connectors 2.0 tenant OAuth metadata. Requires a validated customer domain and Connector 2.0 availability before browser authorization can be enabled.

In Telara, open Settings → Integrations, choose this connector, and click Connect. Telara sends you to the vendor to approve access, then returns you here. You do not create an OAuth app or paste a client secret.

API key

Gainsight API Access Key. The tenant domain is the customer-specific companyapi domain, for example companyapi.gainsightcloud.com.

In Telara, open Settings → Integrations, choose this connector, and paste the key into the fields Telara shows.

After you save, Telara runs a read-only check against the account. The integration shows as connected when that check succeeds.

PX and CS are different Gainsight products. This connector is CS unless the form says otherwise.
Sandbox and production tenants are different keys.
