What Telara does

Capability matrix

Before you connect

Prerequisites

A Grafana Cloud or self-hosted instance Telara can reach.
Admin (or a role that can create service accounts) on that instance.

Vendor setup

Get the credential

1
Create a service account token
In Grafana, open Administration → Users and access → Service accounts (wording varies by version). Create a service account and issue a token. On older Grafana, this was Configuration → API Keys — use a service account on current Grafana.
2
Copy the token
Copy the token immediately. Grafana will not show it again.
3
Paste in Telara
Settings → Integrations → Grafana. Enter the instance URL and the token.

Data handling

Permissions & data handling

Telara has not published a permission list for this connector yet. Treat the vendor consent screen as the source of truth until this page lists scopes.

Excluded from semantic search: System, Dashboard, Datasource, Alert.

After connect

Verify it worked

After you save, Telara runs a read-only check against the account. The integration shows as connected when that check succeeds.

Honesty

Known limitations

Site URL must match the Grafana you issued the token on (Cloud vs self-hosted, and the region).
Viewer-only tokens cannot list the objects Telara needs. Editor or Admin on the service account is the usual fix.
